3 long months in my life

Here’s what happened with my life for the last 3 months. Last August I went back to school after taking a gap year and entered the university as a freshman taking the program Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. This program would put my 15-year-old self into a comma. I turned 20 but didn’t know much thought about celebrating for I was busy studying for the exam the next day, I was juggling my studies and work, and cried every night because of exhaustion. I hated a lot of things during that time—some incompetent professors, the outdated curriculum, the transportation, and a lot more.

The world seemed so fast but the way is too long. Everything felt wrong, so I decided to drop out. It felt right.

It’s been more than a month since I left uni and life has been great. I got to focus on my work more and went back to doing the things I found fulfilling.

I didn’t stop learning accounting. I still find myself tapping on my calculator and reading my accounting books and practice sets.

Next month, I’ll be returning to school again, not the physical one. I enrolled in a digital college taking a business program.

Here’s a reminder: If you feel like something is wrong, it probably is. Don’t be scared to let go or exit if you feel like it is the right thing to do. Don’t stay in a situation if it is not serving you well anymore. Life is full of quests to figure out. Lastly, taking a different route from others doesn’t mean you took the wrong turn, it could also be, that you discovered a new path for you to lead others.
